The congress invites scholars, researchers, and students from diverse anthropological backgrounds to engage in critical discussions and share their research findings on the theme of "Anthropology in the Service of Nation." This theme underscores the vital role anthropology plays in understanding and addressing contemporary challenges faced by India.

The congress encourages submissions of abstracts addressing various sub-themes within the broader theme:

• Anthropology, Public Policy and Governance

• Health, Disease, Fitness and Wellbeing

• Anthropology, Gender and Women Empowerment

• Emerging trends in Prehistoric archaeology

• Role of Anthropology in sustainable development

• Anthropological demography with special reference to migration

• Biological diversity of India and its implications

• Cultural diversity of India and its implications

• Problems of Dalits, Scheduled Tribes and other Minorities

• Emerging Trends in Social and Cultural Anthropology

• Emerging Trends in Biological Anthropology

• Issues in Documentation, Conservation and Protection of Indigenous Knowledge

• Social Conflicts, Insurgency and Role of Anthropology

• Issues in National Integration

• Protection and promotion of India’s heritage

Abstract Submission 

Interested participants are invited to submit abstracts of their research in a structured format of 500 words on any of the aforementioned sub-themes. The deadline for abstract submission is January 31st, 2024. 

Registration

Participants can register for the congress with or without accommodation. The deadline for registration with accommodation and without accommodation is also January 31st, 2024.

Scanned copies of the filled-in registration form, online registration fee transaction details, and the abstract of the presentation should be sent via email to incaaigrms@gmail.com.

This event is proudly organized by the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal, in collaboration with the Indian National Confederation and Academy of Anthropologists (INCAA).
